Stick Sensitivity Adjustment?
Would it be possible to see an adjustment slider for stick sensitivity added to this simulator? I barely touch the stick on my controller and the drone moves quite rapidly/abrupty. It is extremely hard (nearly impossible) to control in ACRO mode. I tried using both a Xbox One and Xbox 360 controller on Windows 10.

You can adjust the rates in the quadcopter setup.

Ok, I looked in the controller setup in options but didn't see anything.

Yeah, the settings aren't there.

Pick a track and quad. When you load up the environment, hit ESC. From there select "Flight Controller Settings". You should find what you're looking for there.

Remember, Liftoff is trying to simulate the quadcopter. Each Quadcopter has the rates set in the flight controller settings.

All new to me. I don't own a real drone but have always fancied them. This sim makes owning a drone very cost effective. :)

Yeah. It certainly does. This game costs less than most vtx antennas :)

I'm sure it does! I'm into RC but my RCs have 4 tires, not 4 blades. Those are money pits too! Lol

Actually, the deadband sliders are found in the controller presets under options. I'm just blind and didn't see it there initially. I set all 3 deadband sliders at 0.2 and the zero point slider for the throttle at 0.5 and it is much, much easier to control the drones now.

Flight controller setting can also be found in the workbench :)

Perfect! The one thing the Xbox (or PlayStation) controllers can't do is have detented throttle like a proper 4 channel transmitter. The throttle always springs back to zero. Does having a detented throttle make flight easier? Maybe I can find an old Xbox controller, take it apart, and remove the left stick Y-axis spring. Or maybe I should invest in a $200 transmitter.

Thats one of the biggest downsides of a game controller indeed. There's some really good remotes right now that have a similar price tag as a game controller, you don't have to invest hundreds of dollars anymore. Check out the Turnigy Evolution and the Flysky i6S for example.

This one? https://hobbyking.com/en_us/fpv-racer-radio-mode-2-black.html

Is the Taranis much better to justify the extra $50? https://www.amazon.com/Frsky-Taranis-Transmitter-Racing-Drones/dp/B06XQWQ7C3/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1499187324&sr=8-3&keywords=frsky+taranis

What else do I need to make the transmitter work with my PC and this sim? Some sort of USB adapter?

You only need a mini usb to usb cable ;)
I have the taranis Q X7 and I love it! However, I'm going to build a quad and use it with it as well, so it wasn't an investment solely for the simulator

I may want to do that someday as well. Seems people prefer FrSky (Taranis) over FlySky (Turnigy). Better electronics maybe? I just love the old school look of the Taranis transmitter vs the Turnigy!

The FrSky Taranis Q X7 has self-centering throttle. Is that what most quadcopter users are moving to rather than a detented Gimbal for throttle? I guess the self-center throttle position is for hovering?

It may come as a self-centering throttle by default but is easily modified by taking the back off the radio and turning a screw so as not to be a self-centering throttle. There are many videos on youtube showing you how to do this on the Q X7. I am pretty sure most people flying mini quads don't use a self-centering throttle. If you buy it from Banggood in China they will send it with the self centering throttle already disabled. Self centering is mostly used by people with quadcopters that have a GPS with altitude hold.
