While some say Liftoff still needs work on the flight behaviour and physics, others would say it's perfect as it is. Personally I feel we have a few things more to do (and are in fact doing them), but are already reaching limits of what is possible for real-time simulation. Any changes we'll make to the flight behaviour in Liftoff won't make the game easier, nor will they drastically change the way drones fly in the game. FPV racing is difficult, there's no way around it, many people need hours or days to even finish the simples of courses.
Some find the challenge and the high skill level to be part of the appeal and enjoy slowly progressing, I'm sure others don't find a lot of enjoyment in those things. That's perfectly fine!
The first question to ask is always: is this a type of simulation game you will enjoy? Maybe you are looking for a more casual racing experience?
As for tips: its simply a matter of putting a lot of time into it, there's no magic trick here.
This video is not about FPV, yet still relevant to your question I feel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OysfveZkl4&t=137s
i started just banking into turns more and using yaw to correct , now im zipping through trees like its nothing
I'm flying using XBox controller, which I thought was the reason for many difficulties, but adjusting the settings gave me a lot of control and eased my progress.
after flying heli and combat planes for 10 years now ,drone flying gives an another dimmencion.
drones are drifting much more than heli and need more correction on the yaw.
flying with FPV makes this feeling even stronger .i'm very glad to use this sim it helps aproving m'n skills.
Didn't no it was so difficult. Training is the go. flying over the gates and try to follow the track and try after every corner leveling the drone with your yaw (rudder) and finaly you get the convedens to go through the gates. I love this sim, thanks for all the good work and keep going. By the way i flying with Taranis on acro mode the best way to learn.
So this should not happen? My controller seems to be calibrated correctly but I've got the same behaviour. In calibration setup zero throttle means no prop spinning, but in game it always spins, also at zero throttle. It spins enough to move the quad.
