Neato frames(The Widowmaker is awesome), The Lumenier QAV-ULX, Falcon Rasvelg and maybe Diatone Grasshopper 160
I'd say we're missing y4 frames but they are ultra-rare.
Looks like we won't see 3-inch frames too often in Liftoff, but:
Shendrones Butters Mini (For the lulz)
Hyphy Le Volcor

I think Chris at Armattan has already been approached and declined but I would still love to see a chameleon.

More Rotor Riot frames would be cool, the Stingy, Drib's MQC, Steele alien would all be great.

Please Please Please!

I think this is a really fun topic to have on this forum. Yet I expect a lot of questions about this and especially a lot of "Please!" comments as seen above ;)

I wrote a detailed post about this a while ago on the Liftoff Community Group and am happy to post it here as well.

As we are adding more frames and parts to Liftoff, we noticed the amount of requests for new frames increased as well! We are fully aware that, with hundreds of different frames being available on the market, chances are your favourite frame is not in Liftoff. It's our goal to eventually add as many as possible. :)

Since we are getting so much questions about it, I feel it's worth talking about this a bit more. How do we select new frames? What does it take to add one? What about your favourite frame from your favourite brand?

As our past releases have shown, we are pushing the content flow in Liftoff. We are always interested in adding more "products" (parts, frames,…) in Liftoff and are always in talks with manufacturers to get things done. However there's more involved to simply getting an "ok". On average creating the assets and the functionality of a frame takes between 1 or 3 weeks of work for a team member. Based on the fact that there's at any time about 4 people working on Liftoff, that's a big chuck of our development capabilities. Consider that, when someone works on a frame, he's not working on a new environment and visa versa. Creating and adding a frame as a result is a very costly affair, and the time it takes means we are always limited in how many we can do.

Adding a product to Liftoff is always a shared vision and shared investment between LuGus Studios and the manufacturer. We are constantly in talks with companies in hopes to figure out they are interested in supporting the project, to help us pay for the work that's required to get it in the game. You could call this a product-placement deal, but in reality it simply means these financial contributions help us pay for the production cost, there's no profit involved in it and we are not asking them to pay for advertisement rights. In the end this is a win-win situation for everyone: the manufacturer gets to show its new products to the community, the community gets to play around with new virtual frames and parts and the LuGus Studios team is able to fund the production of this content.

It's important to know we believe in all products we add to Liftoff. These partners are companies we love to work with and have great products that we feel the community will enjoy in Liftoff. Looking at the frames and parts in Liftoff, I think you can all agree these are products from quality brands!
Why is your favourite frame not in Liftoff yet? There could be a multitude of reasons:
  • We haven't had the pleasure to talk to the manufacturer yet.
  • We might not feel its a great fit for Liftoff
  • The manufacturer was not interested in partnering up.
  • It's on our radar, but we haven't found the time yet to create the game assets or to release it.

Hey, any chance you will be adding the Lumenier G10 QAV250?

Alien 5 please. I think a big amount of pilots begin with that frame, it will be very cool to find it in this game.

Hello Developpers
Thank you so much for such a great achievement

My only concern is adding the tiny woops as well as the Diatone 2017 GT200 strech to the collection in Liftoff.

Thank you

Regards

I've wanted to see the TBS Source One in here, although I don't know if being open-source makes that simpler or harder to get into the game.

Would there be much technical challenge in making some kind of a generic carbon plate frame with freely scalable arm lengths? Also a generic scalable battery would be nice as none of the available batteries are really close to the cheap crap I fly with.

Yes it would, that's new functionality and new toolsets to develop.

What type of lipos would you like to see in future updates? :)

We need more 3", micros and toothpicks, tired of only flying the Gremlin Boar and Gecko.
