Is it possible to connect the DJI FPV transmitter in Liftoff? Would really like to practice with it.

On an official FAQ, DJI states the controller is compatible with Liftoff, making me think it should work out of the box. However, we have not bee able to test and confirm this and we've been getting a lot of questions about it from players who struggle with it.
I've been trying to get in touch with DJI to get some answers, but no luck so far. I would recommend sending them a support email to support@dji.com with the same question.

I got confirmation from someone working at DJI that it works if you buy a 3.5 jack to USB adapter, so not out of the box.

Is it also working with the regular DJI controller? (Like the Phantom or mavic)

Hi, got my dongle and transmitter today. Had to go through the ingame calibration a few times. And increased the deadbands slightly. The the throttle didn't work. To fix that I went through the manual calibration, which is quite easy. Assigned the channels, done. And it works fine now.

I purchased the DJI FPV Controller and was able to get mine working properly after a little research. I did a YouTube video on it recently. Just search "RGMG DJI FPV Remote Controller". Not sure if I'm allowed to post the link in this forum. The link to the cable is also in the description of my YouTube Video as well.

Anyone know if there are plans for Liftoff developers to include DJI's FPV Controller to auto-detect this controller? Right now is just shows up as 'Unknown' but again does work.

This is not up to us, it's up to DJI, changes need to be made on DJI's side to make that possible. We've reached out to them, but communication with the company is quite challenging. We've talked to a few representatives, but so far we haven't noticed any interest on their side to work with us. Communication has been slow, and currently they simply stopped responding to our email conversation.

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. I've got some social media sites and I'm on the DJI Forums. I see if I can apply a little pressure from my end as well.

Not sure if your still having an issue. I"m still using the original cable I bought (the one in the video) and it's still working fine for me. Make sure it's 'Flashing Red' where it connects into your PC. If it's not flashing then it's not seated properly. Also, DJI recently released new firmware which also allows you to use a USB cable to the DJI Remote Controller and you should NO LONGER require a special cable. I pinned the comment to the top of my video as well. Hopefully the new firmware can resolve your issue as well. Hope that helps...
