Wing Diver corpse-piercing weapon?
Does wing diver have anything that specifically passes through ragdoll corpses of enemies and does damage to living enemies on the other side?

Their lightning weapons tend to have good odds on that.

You really, REALLY notice the difference between the thunder bows and a Ranger's shotgun despite them often listing lower damage numbers, for example.

The idunn weapons can hit entire groups and hit through bodys.

It's honestly in my opinion wing divers closest to perfect weapon as they get good range, damage, reload times, costs, ammo ect.

Normaly i always use a idunn and just swap the secondary weapon between plasma and sniper depending on mission tho sometimes other weps for fun.

Lightning bounces off corpses and will not hurt enemies behind the corpses.

You must be having some super terrible luck then. Here, have some Idun footage from another forum.

x2 Idunn is my preference. Once one runs out of charge, I swap to the other one and continue whittling down the horde. In this way, I don't have any downtime or have to be careful with my energy consumption.

Another vote for the Idunns. The Thunder Bow XD and Eclat LIM do well, too.

Wing Diver kind of specializes in doing exactly this. You can easily leap over corpses, too.

The Idunns are effective because their lightning arcs off of walls. If you aim at a ceiling or wall, it'll never really bounce off the corpse.

I don't think you understand the question. I need a weapon that goes /THROUGH/ corpses. Not around them.

Does the wing diver have a weapon that goes /THROUGH/ corpses?

I just confirmed that the Idunn D Custom bounces off corpses.

You asked a question. We all gave you the same answer.

Edit: Let me rephrase that. There's never really a point in the game where you need to stand in front of a corpse and shoot it. There are always ways around the corpse.

Edit #2!

Just to prove a point, I took this screenshot. I promise you, I'm hitting enemies through this wall of corpses.

I don't know for sure, but seems like wing diver doesn't have such weapon, if you're looking for straight corpse-piercing projectiles, instead weapons of this class possess the above mentioned ability to bounce and richochet off the walls and bodies, thus finding a way to get through the pile of dead bodies, but I've never seen a projectile or beam to travel its intended length after hitting first corpse. Spark lance is quite good at dealing with enemies behind dead bodies as well.
And more importantly, as far as i know, all explosions surpass dead bodies and structures.

Only weapon I can think of with OP's ridiculous desire of standing still, not moving, and shooting at a corpse with the intention of maybe hitting something behind it, is one of the fencer weapons, I believe the hand cannon line or somesuch.
Zeddy Aug 16, 2016 @ 5:36am
There's actually one thunder sniper around level 30 that can pierce enemies. At least that's what I think the description says. It's hard to judge with all the lightning going around whatever I'm shooting at.

My friend with a much higher leveled wing diver could find no equivalent at higher levels.

Nothing really pierces that I've seen. The only weapons in the game that seem to have that effect are the fencer's handcannons (or anything else that mentions armor piercing) and the air raider's railgun.

Ranger's slug shot range of shotguns also penetrates, as does the Stringer line of sniper rifles.

This makes the Stringer rise greatly in damage efficiency amongst sniper rifles in any instance where constantly hitting two or more hard targets isn't uncommon. Groups of Hectors is the most obvious example. Consider that even against a single target it's competitive in the damage stakes.

Ranger's flamethrower line of weapons also pass through corpses, is what they're made for.

The level 77 Armored Grape has what is basically a high damage assault rifle with penetrative rounds, a really solid weapon on a ridiculously fun vehicle.

As mentioned above, any lightning weapon of the Wing Diver essentially penetrates but deviates off course after the 1st impact. The biggest deviation always seems to be after the first impact, so you can learn to control this partially in some circumstances by angling the shot off a surface.

While the Idunn isn't a perfect penetrative weapon for getting 100% damage in a straight line, they do already have exceedingly good damage output and sustained fire. Even just 50% permeation remains very respectable AoE damage and crowd control.

Just keep in mind the Idunn-E Custom 2 is an absolute crapshoot. It has better raw damage but suffers far too much on the delivery of it.

I like to instead take a thrust rapier into the tunnels and push the bodies into a nice clog that stops the other enemies from coming xD

None of the Wing Diver's weapons possess punch-through as such, the closest there is are the Thunder Bows and Idunns as they will automatically arc around any object they come into contact with. Because of this, you can shoot at a wall of corpses and still hit enemies behind it, though normally for decreased damage.
Rapiers are good weapons for pushing enemies away from you, you can even juggle corpses in the air with it, it's that effective, but it doesn't offer any kind of punch-through.

As a general rule of thumb though, Wing Diver weapons are almost entirely electric/energy based, and as such will bounce off of objects and enemies rather than pass through them, since they aren't solid matter like bullets.
