People use the limpet? I don't think I've used it since normal mode O.o. I used it vaguely in hard mode, but I run double air strike+vehicle now.

If you want a gun, pick the wires.

Limpet is asking to die anytime you get picked up. Better to go with turrets, wires, or buff posts.

Once a wire hits an enemy, does the wire become safe for all other enemies? Or can it hurt other ones while it is stuck on an enemy?
Kashra: Whoa, is dual strikes + vehicle viable for all of single-player? That's cool if so. I never played Air Raider that way on Xbox 360.

Whale is one of the easiest to recharge. Basic infantry to recharge a whale cannon. Very early on, I think it is...15? Not sure, you get a cannon that does 1000 dmg and is like 400 points. I cleared the entire hornet nest with that thing+rocket propelled vehicle.

Yeah, I noticed Whale recharges quickly. But is dual strikes + vehicle really viable to solo the entire game? I know some missions disable air strikes and air-dropped vehicles.

For only those specific missions you have to change up, otherwise yes, it's entirely possible. Most efficient vehicles will recharge in the time it takes to empty their ammo (I rarely have one knocked out) and as mentioned, the Whale's 150mm cannon attack recharges STUPID fast (it has a cost of 200!)

I rarely step foot outside of my vehicles, though. It's kind of Air Raider's thing since you're the only one who gets to bring one along.

Same here. As far as artillery goes, I prefer satellite or spritefalls personally though.

You can hit other enemies too.

Think of each individual wire as a chain, and each link does damage when ittouches an enemy for the first time.
The stats for the wiregun dont mention how many links the wires have, but something like 10 links per wire, so a point blank shot would be devastating.
This also explains why the jumping spiders' web attack hurts so much as it works the same way.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the satellite cannon in both its modes, but the 200 refresh cost on the 150mm is just SO damn good.

When it comes to cinematic effect, though, there's nothing quite like watching giant insects tossed like a salad by countless beams of energy from space :P

I've questioned their usefulness based on the text. Do they basically work like an area DoT to anything that is touching them?

I really don't think limpets are bad. A lot of people seem to want to use splendor out in an open field and expect miracles, but if you have a high lvl launcher/sniper limpet then you should be able to take out tougher enemies and hills in between reloads and vehicles. If nothing else, they always provide a decent bit of safe CC.

Get complacant mowing down hornets and advanced drones no problem, and then CAVE FULL O SPIDERS reminds you just how much basic spiders hurt when they hit you properly by comparison, yeah.

The costs are great, but the relatively low dmg output and the area of impact puts me off. I think the only Despina artillery I use, are the Lionics. But of course, it comes down to preference.

Edit: I forgot about OP... Anyway, the Limpet Busters are my preferred go-to Limpet guns. They lay out some heavy rain of shells, which even above ground, covers a wide area.
