how do i do a forward roll?

i see folks doing it but i cant

What they are actually doing is diagnol rolls. If it looks like someone is doing a forward roll, from their perspective they are looking in the other direction and diving at an angle towards their destination.

You eventually learn that sweet spot where it's as far forward as possible while still being a dive roll.

As a further heads up. There is a Known Bug where trying to start or join a multiplayer match with Spaces, punctuation, or wacky letters in your Steam Name can crash the game.

Odd stuff with steam names is a semi common JP Dev port issue, it seems.

same issue was common on Dark Soul 1, summoning someone with a weird name would crash your game

On the subject of text. Why can't we have 'sm' when typing in the game? Plasma turns into Pla*a and smart turns to *art.
