How do you fire Pheonix 1?

Title. Its a seemingly rocket launcher type weapon for the Lancer but it does nothing but bring up a red targetting box. Hold it down... tap... spam... nothing happens. While pointing at ants.

I assume it has some specific enviormental trigger.

It says right in the description that it can be locked on only with Air Raider's laser guide. So you literally can't use it when playing solo.

Yeah, you need an Air Raider to use a laser guide or a guide beacon. Once they lay it down though you'll be spewing enormous missiles at the enemy, it's quite satisfying.

Why in the hell couldn't they at least put in some NPCs to target spot? What's the point in a weapon available in solo play that doesn't FIRE in solo play?
