What weapons do you use in Air Force? Swarms of drones make me crazy LOL
ok what weps would you use for Crimson?
OK, so, what would be the best weapons for a Fencer to use on Death Queen? How about Air Raider or Wing Diver?
I struggle with Fencer in Machine Squad - Because I can't seem to beat any "grind for weapons" mission other than Preventing Landfall with a Fencer, the best "big alpha damage" weapons I have are:
NC201 Hand Cannon (1000 damage)
FH22 Light Mortar (1600 damage)
The rate of fire, slow aim-time from fencer's slow turn rate, relatively low damage-per-shot, and the need to perfectly judge elevation, all make it virtually impossible for me to kill Deroys before they are on top of me and killing me.
As to Death Queen, I have no idea what a Fencer "tunnel combo" would be. No mix of weapons I have tried results in anything but me getting overrun and killed.
I will try that.
OK I can't even beat it on Hardest. I just can't hit the stupid Deroy "center mass" targets with a slow firing, "how the F dos this thing arc and how high over the target do I have to aim", can barely make the Fender turn to aim, weapon.
By the time they are close enough that I can aim *mostly* dead on, they wreck me because they laser the SH*T outta me or foot stab me.
I have to say, it makes me kinda pissed that a ranger sniper rifle does more damage, fires dead on, and won't recoil the crap outta you, than any Fencer weapon. I mean, seriously, I can use a Stringer J9 and do 18000 damage with pinpoint accuracy at any range, or use other sniper rifles with 3600 damage per shot with pinpoint accuracy and zero flight time, but the Fencer, which is BUILT for firepower, has crap guns? WTF?
Flame geyser or Volcanic napalm or similar gun

A Stinger has 1 shot and 6 seconds reload with 18k damage. A Battle Cannon has the same reload, 10k damage and 8 shots, plus dual wielding. That's 18k damage in 6 seconds vs 100k+ in the same time with dual battle cannons -given that you shoot both as soon as their 0.3s cooldown is over-. The Fencer is also the fastest class, and virtually immortal in many scenarios.
The Ranger's main characteristic is being the most balanced class; he may not fly, call airstrikes and vehicles, be the fastest nor the strongest, but most of his bullet weapons have a great firepower-rof-accuracy balance, and it sounds like you are complaining about that.
I don't know what to tell you other than practice your aiming with the hand cannons. I just ran Hardest with your NC201 and did it easily without taking any damage.

If you can't farm it with that, you should probably play the easier difficulties and get used to the particularities of each class. You'll be experienced enough by the time you actually get to Hardest if you do the difficulties in order.
How is that even working? Is there something about that spot that guarantees you immunity from being shot, or that the drones will fly through the flame instead of coming in at ground level and hosing you down with lasers? Also, why the heal gun when playing what appears to be solo?
Your comparison is kind of off-the-mark. First, a ranger can dual wield lysanders by just taking 2 of them and using the mouse wheel to swap, doing 3600 per shot (MUCH more than those hand cannons) with zero difficulty in aiming because they are S+ accuracy kind of guns. If you want to compare shot-spamming, the ranger wins that contest.
If you want to go with the Stringer, then the advantage you get is that you only need to be out of cover long enough for one click to do 18,000 damage. That alpha strike power is insane and being able to stay behind cover most of the time is its own type of "near immortality."
At the same weapon levels, ranger snipers are just better in every measurable sense than hand cannons, and there are ENORMOUSLY easier touse.
And I am not complaining that the ranger is too good. I am complaining that the Fencer, which by rights should be the class that can vomit damage most effectively and simply, does not hold that place in the lineup. Wing divers are the best mobility unit; air raider is the best support class. Fencer SHOULD be the DPS king with Ranger being tops in flexibility - but that's not how it plays out as a practical matter.
The ranger outperforms the Fencer in alpha strike, DPS, ease of use, AOE, pretty much everything. The only time I can see a Fencer outperforming the Ranger is with guided weapons and a friendly Air Raider to mark targets. Solo? Fencer just seems weak.
I'm queueing up your video, in the hope it will provide some insight that will help, because I appreciate that you took the time to provide it. Will post again after watching. I appreciate that you are trying to help, seriously. I just am having a hard time seeing the Fencer as being viable compared to the ultra-easy-mode Ranger.
