As a raider, the turrets and other support items fall out of use because I have to seriously endanger myself by staying out of vehicles. Worse, I am standing around doing nothing while waiting for the lengthy recharge to go through. That makes me feel bored, along with a bit of guilt that I can't support anyone while waiting for my tools to recover.
Sadly this can't be done with our current tools, but we're adding some background-reloaded stuff. All the support posts and bunkers will be included, turrets will not as being able to reload three sets of turrets at the same time would just be too powerful.
Does this mod change things like unreloadable weapons to be actually....reloadable and make homing weapons that cannot lock on targets w/o the help of a other player usable in SP?
That would make those actually usable in single player istend of being a wasted weapon slot.
We're also adding a guide laser that fencer can use for himself, with the balancing drawback of increasing missile lockon time.
Alright, fair eneuf.
I would still add a long reload time to those powerfull weapons, even if it's like 7+ minutes, but it's just my opinion.
But i do agree with the healing/support type weapons still being in limited supply.
My point was not exatly *buffing* per say. but more like making all weapons/options usable in singleplayer, even if they get nerfed a bit in the process, i like having unrestrited acess to any weapons and not having a useless weapon after it's used, that make sense in MP but not in SP imo.
Anyway, this mod seems like exatly what im looking for, so id be keeping an eye on it. :)
Anyhow, there is a number of other Pesticide Guns that have an name in the files, but no real data beyond that. They are:
(H_IMPACT_GENOCIDE)
(E_THROW_GENOCIDE)
(S_ROCKET_GENOCIDEGAN)
I hope those are someday completed and added with the mod. Probably too much work, but it never hurts to have a dash of hope with a main course of skepticism.
There is a script for Cheat Engine that accomplishes that nicely. It just auto-grabs whatever a mob drops and you get it at the end of the scenario as normal. No infinite armor/all weapons shenanigans, just what rando-drops on the stage as normal, you just don't have to go about the 'clean up your room' phase of the game while someone or you kites a monster around the map. It's frankly a great QoL improvement and I like that it just lets you play the game. I don't know if something similar could be rolled in to the rebalance Zeddy and crew are working on, or if they'd want to, but, I love it.
