Mission 45 as solo Ranger (Normal)
First mission in the game that's really getting on my nerves. I'm losing everytime no matter the weapons I equip at this point. The first tentacles wave is ok (using sniper MMFA1, last I got), but I can't survive the second spawn wave, they are too many and if I hide in town, they just crush me.

Any loadout tips appreciated, thx!

I think thats the one with only deroys. You can get it done using the mmf. After the 1st wave, move to the right(from the spawn point) until you hit the city limit. From there you can follow the red line while hitting them one by one.

I think u have that one by now lol

I did manage to make it eventually yeah, but thx!
Basically kept on shooting with mmf zoomed out, and being really careful in town. This game demands more and more patience, but the AI gets dumber. I really hope to finish it on normal so i can do it again on easy lol
you might as well try a few missions on "Hard" . its a tiny little jump.
Not a big difference once you get the basics. Not so "over-restricted" by the weakest weapons like normal or easy.

And does my stuff & armor remains no matter the difficulty i choose?

Every weapon and bit of armor you get in any mission/difficulty(EDIT: this includes multiplayer and singleplayer) is saved to your profile.

Also, you can play singleplayer with a weapon of any level and all the armor you have, in multiplayer there are restrictions such as, for example: max lvl 50 weapons and 5000 armor for a ranger at mission 40 on hardest.

So if you can get a good weapon in hard difficulty a few missions prior to the one you're having trouble with you can come back to the one you were trying in normal with the weapon you got in hard.
