Warhammer 40,000: Imperial Guard Infantryman Simulator

This is just to gush over and spill all of the "What if..." things that we 40k fans can think of to put in this game.

As you know, Warhammer 40k is all about the Grimdark and that There is only War in the galaxy of the 40th millenium.
But then the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer/Handbook exists, and I can see that side of 40k and this game hugging each other like two muscle-bound men hugging each other over how swol they are.
For the uninitiated, the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer/Handbook is a pocketbook that ALL Imperial Guardsmen arer required to carry. It contains all necessary information needed in regards to Imperial weapony, armour, and vehicles, as well as info on all the known enemies of man, and has prayers and litanies you can recite when you smite the enemies of man for the Emperor. Of course, the book up front lies to you about everything having you believe that your gun is THE BEST gun that ever been conceived and will kill anything in one shot, your armour will protect you from any harm the galaxy can dish out on you (like a wet paper towel), orks are small and stupid, and Genestealers are slow and have blunt claws (complete with illustrations). Basically it's a book with "HUMANITY, ♥♥♥♥ YEAH!" written all over it, which, in my opinion, is what EDF is all about.
If we took everything Imperial Guard, dial down the Grimdark and crank the absurdity, and plaster it all over EDF, it'd be the same game aside from the aesthetics.
- Rangers are your regular Guardsmen
- Wing Divers become Elysian Drop Troops
- Fencers can be your Stormtroopers
- And Air Raiders can be your... ummm... I wanna say Techpriests, but I think Steel Legion fits the bill better.
Replace the enemy with hordes of Tyranids (And Necrons for the mechanical enemies) and everything fits!
Hell, we can even replace the Ballam fights with a BioTitan versus a Warlord Titan!

AAAAAaaaRGH!
Just think of the possibilities if GW gave license to Sandlot to make a W40k game!
Hell, even a mod of EDF 4.1 would scratch the itch Dark Millenium or Eternal Crusade left us!
