Fighting spider?
I've trouble fighting spider.
Because from my experience, their web is damn good area denial, and still damaging even when the spider is dead :(
Any tips?

Play Ranger and get the MMF100. Problem solved.

spiders have the lowest HP of all the giant insects. they're also the most dangerous at close range. prioritize them over other insects if you find yourself in the path of a swarm

Wing Diver / Ranger - Missiles and backpedaling, with something rapid-fire if they jump close. Fencer, I would dash-cancel with a vulcan hammer and circle them until they shoot web, or strike where it's going to land. Air Raider, I would just accept my fate.

If you're talking about Retiarii, that's a whole different game. Find it and kill it ASAP! I curse their names when I'm grabbed from across the map while fighting something else. Who do they think they are, Marth?!

Retarii are best dealth by sniping them from as far away as possible. A shorter range backup weapon with a high firing rate might be helpful if you do end up getting close thanks to the hitstun.

Jumping Spiders are the enemy's glass cannons. Deal with them before they become too numerous. They're especially nasty because you don't really notice how their damage is piling up.

Wait, WHAT?! RAELLY?

Because silver spider is a lot tougher than gold ants, I really assume spider is thicker than ants.

you should have specified whether you were talking about regular spiders or mutant spiders in your original post. you have to treat mutant spiders differently because of their huge health

at long range, pick off any lower-health enemies nearby, before the silvers reach you

at close-range, keep the nearest silver to you stunlocked as you run (not rolling) towards cover, assuming you're playing Ranger or Air Raider

Wing Diver can simply keep them stunlocked using any of her Idunn series weapons, and Fencer, as the most agile class, can easily kite them at a safe range while simultaneously attacking with a blasthole spear or spine driver or whatnot

or just wipe them with a airstrike or artillery

I really mean the ordinary one. But because I've met mutant spider more that the ordinary (from grinding weapon), I thought the stat is the same for the ordinary (spider is tanker, ant is glass canon).

Didn't find the silvers that much harder than the golden ants. Even with their inflated health pools, they're still relatively large targets with a tendency towards hitstun and knockback.
