Performance issues?

yeah i'm not sure what might cause this, on my old gtx 260 it ran perfectly 60 fps at max settings. on my newer gtx 780 it runs kind of stuttery from time to time

any thoughts on this?

Maybe driver issue. Update latest driver from Nvidia site. That should solve the issue. Also check if you have a sufficient power PSU. 550-600w probably needed.

780 crushes everything on max settings. theres probably some other issue, like driver related

can sumone asnwer me what v-sync do? it chsnge fps it seem when turn off. is it good if it on or off. lik in singlemode shud it be on and coopmode shud it be off? any idea how best to use it?

v syncturned on stops screen tearing. you know how sometimes the screen looks like it has lines running up and down? that's screen tearing! v sync fixes this, at the cost of frame limit

wait...are you saying it doesn't crush those things. I rock metro, ss3, tomb raider, and sadow warrior. crysis 3 is a bit more iffy, but it usually averages like 35-45 on max, 50-60 with some things turned down a bit

Your definition of crush is WAY off. Rock-solid 60 FPS is crush. Framedrops are not. Crysis 3 with maxed settings will give you like 20 FPS, Metro Redux won't run at 60 FPS at all, the same goes for SS3, TR and SW will run at 60 FPS in few places, otherwise it's pure lagfest. Hell, even Far Cry 3 can't run at stable 60 FPS!

My overclocked GTX 680 with 3770K will max all those out over 60 FPS no problem. I bench right below a 780 so it should be easy sailing for a 780. This game runs at 60 FPS with vsynch on half idle. Something is wrong if you are struggling. Leave all settings on stock and run the main ones all on ultra. Don't be messing with the hard core settings unless you know what you are doing. Major thing is learning how to tune your PC to all games.

Only a few even with a GTX 680 overclocked you have to tune down a setting or two from ultra maxed out at 1080p anyway. If running higher res it will be a bigger challenge unless you have more GPU and CPU to back ya.

Even my whimpy i7 4 core + GT 650 overclocked laptop can run this game 60 fps solid with vsync. (Cause I know how to tune)

The game itself is fine even with a (now days) lower end machine.
