Cheat/console commands

I've looked at several websites, and gotten both cheat mode, and developer cheat mode active, but I don't ever see the "cheat menu" and none of the commands I've found online work, like "please fly" just gives me an error about wanting a = nearby. What gives, yo?

Looks like those are for the Classic. For cheats I think it's cht_bEnableCheats = 3 (0 to disable, but you'll also have to use a saved game with no cheats enabled). Once in-gameplay, go to menu and press F3 for full list. Keep in mind cheating deactivates scores and achievements.

No dice. It enabled cheats, but F3 is just load game. Tried all the other Function keys but they just did the normal functions you'd expect.

You have to go to menu (ESC), and then press f3, hope that helps.

Sorry for the Necromancy, but this isn't working for me at all. I put in the code, game doesn't throw an error, I press escape once, get the game menu with all the options and press F3 and nothing happens. Did they patch this out?

Edit: No they did not, but the internet is such a fantastic machine of DISINFORMATION that I used the wrong code in the console. cht_bEnableCheats = 3 works, no quotes, no special commas, no nothing, just cht_bEnableCheats = 3 in the console and bam, cheats

Well, Classic and HD have different console commands, so perhaps someone got confused.

Necromancy? I posted this, like, last week. But you're 100% right about the differences between versions and misinformation. I wonder why they'd change that each version? It's not like it's a super cereal game that takes itself seriously and is afraid of cheats and silly junk.
