[OUTDATED] Don't install new NVIDIA drivers

FIXED: New NVIDIA drivers (381.65 and newer) should work fine now.
From 381.65 fixes:

[Serious Sam HD]: Heavy flickering occurs in the game with Vsync enabled. [1881405] 

[Icarus]

Bump, I can confirm this driver version works like a charm.

378.66 (currently newest) did not fix flickering either. So, use 376.33 with this game.

The dev team is working on this with Nvidia to fix. Main problem is with V-sync turned on. With it off it's not as bad.

I've found solution which works on the newest drivers no matter if any v-sync is enabled. Just set "Maximum pre-rendered frames" to 1 in NVIDIA control panel.

Also a game I used to play years ago, Shadow Man, got glitched on newest NVIDIA drivers.

I got weird news for you.

Well, this morning I wanted to do a random experiment by putting a Windows Server 2016 installation onto a VHD and booting it from my Windows Boot Manager.

Once everything tweaked and set up and latest NVIDIA drivers installed, I wanted to try out some random games, including Serious Sam.

Not only I got a great framerate improvement on all games, but there are no graphics glitches in Serious Sam even with the latest NVIDIA drivers, while I get less framerate and graphics glitches on Windows 10 in the same system. I'm running a GTX 750 Ti.

I just got a new GTX1060 + Windows 10 and of course got the new drivers. A couple of other games were OK (Doom, SS3: BFE) but the Second Encounter HD, not. Glad I found this thread, because after removing the driver completely with DDU in safe mode and installed 376.33, I have no graphics flashing anymore.

It's possible to play whitout flickering in windowed mode.
