Car Radio - No Sound

I've done all the online posts to add the original music back but I often still get silence more often than not. I do occasionally hear the soundtrack but as I haven't played the original, do all the cars have a radio that is supposed to constantly play or is it normal that there's no sound for most?

The Steam version of the orignal game is probably patched to disallow the full soundtrack to be added back, why not get the CD-ROM version instead or wait for the Definitive Edition remake instead?

I think the CD-ROM can still be found at a affordable price and the remake might have the original soundtrack but of better quality, but be warned 2K may not make it a update which means you have to pay to get it.
