BUT by using a drivewheel u will "feel" the road ...
A totally other way for that game ...
Try it out, it's much MORE fun ...
Even the racing battles :-) ...
It sounds like a drifting analog stick, but if you're driving with the keyboard that is odd.
My mum gave me a steering wheel from Tesco that was good for both PS and PC and had a separate gear lever and handbrake. It was basically the beginning of my 'gamer' era.
The quality of that steering wheel was very poor, but at the time I didn't notice or really care. I broke the pedals on the treadle because I accidentally pushed down on the edge too hard... I glued it with superglue and it did its job flawlessly from then on. The game recognized the steering wheel, pedals and gearshift.
I could drive the cars smoothly.
If I turned the steering wheel a little bit the game would turn the wheels of the cars a little bit. If I gave it a little throttle or kept the speed up this also happened in the game. The brakes were also nice and smooth to dose evenly.
It was such a good experience that for years I was able to play Mafia by making up the missions in my own mind and imagination...
