ls3df.dll error

Hey guys i just downloaded this game and when to launch i get the error saying "ls3df.dll" missing and i have to reinstal - i tried to reinstall and got the same error.
Tried google and was directed to dodgy looking pages asking me to register etc... can anyone help me please?

Same here exactly.
Fixes in other posts didn't help a bit, and steam help doesn't go beyond A: verifying files, or B: assuming I must not meet the ancient system requirements...

All while the "missing" file is in the mafia folder by the way.

MEH dude I got the same error now.
Funny thing is my version from the original CD ran without issue on my current pc setup, however everytime I buy an oldie via steam it's nothing but issues..

In the Mafia folder is another game.exe (Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia\Mafia), this works. But i can't start the game with steam.

Copy "missing" file from Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia\Mafia to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 that will fix it
