How to use Skill Slot and Stock Skill ?
In the PC version, in the character screen there is a Mastery tab.
Below that is a Manage Skill tab.
From there I can see 2 different setups : Skill Slot and Stock Skill.

However, I cannot figure out how to use either of them.
Unfortunately there is also no manual to describe how to use.

If anyone can figure this out, can you please explain to me in details, like what key to press so that I can set a skill in the skill slot, or what does the "stock skill" do.

Once again, thanks for any help.

Its to do with Changing classes you get to keep the skills from previous classes in the Stock of Skills and then put them in Skill Slots to use them with your new class.
For example start your cleric as ranger then class change to keep the Bow soul skill so they can attack from back row.

Oh, I am only starting out and all my team members are at level 7 single class.
Changing classes is new to me.
What level should I start changing class? and can I change back and from classes.

13 is good for the extra slot though sometimes sometimes you only want certain skills like changing from knight on lvl 1 for access to heavy armor and shields.
depends on what your are looking for in your team.
For example starting knight as fighter to get the lvl 10 invincible skill and lvl 3 counter attack skill both are very useful on a tank.
Getting the lvl 6 dancer skill that lets all weapons have infinite range can be quite useful on any class really going for that on my back row ninja atm.
For my cleric and the wizard I started as ranger to get the bow skill changed at 4 to also pick up the medium armor that way they can do good dmg without spending mana all the time on weaker enemies while I didnt have a healer just used rings and staffs to cast spells as needed.

Bow for cleric and wizard is not really a good choice.
They miss often with it (9 out of 10 times is a miss) and make almost pityful damage (because of low strength).

It is way better to start both of them as a dancer (for gaining access to special weapons = thrown weapons) and the ability to use a item twice.

Then you give them a shield (both of them learn to use a shield after a few levels) and there are a lot of nasty thrown weapons with status effects that hurt more then a litte bit more damage from a bow.

cause you can only have 5 chances to change class, the best level to do it when you're at or over 13 otherwise you'll lose a skill slot.

Normally ppl change class when they've learnt the skill they need but if you want to aim for a perfect build then the higher your level, the better. Because of the class change mechanic, when you change class at high level, you'll gain more HP/MP after class changed.

At new game+ the class change number is reset to 5 times.
It is a good idea to class change every character at the end of the normal game untill you had made it 5 times so you get the most out of the reset at new game+

Is level 30 the highest we can go? Can we reach level 30 at the end of the normal game?
Thanks.

I have not finished the game yet, but i read on other forums that you be Level 35-40 before new game+ (it matters how much you grind and if you made the more difficulty two extra dungeons after the boss fight).
Max Level that you can be is 255.

But because after each class change you loose halve of your levels you mostly will be not high level at new game+ if you class change a lot before you start new game+

A few things to know about class changing.

1) You can only change classes 5 times with each character. Plan out when and what classes you want if you can. When you start New Game +, your previous class history is cleared (though you do keep all your spells/skills) so you get an additional 5 class changes during a NG+. NG+ also increases the limit on stock skills from 8 to 16 (though a second NG+ will be required to hit the 16 limit).

2) Class change will cut your level, HP, and MP in half. Your attributes remain unchanged. You will only gain HP/MP when leveling up until you surpass your previous highest level with that character. No Attribute points will be gained until you surpass your highest level. In NG+, you will gain attribute points every level regardless of what your highest level achieved was.

3) Every class gains a new stock skill slot at level 13. If you want to maximize the number of skills you can equip from prior classes, always be level 13+ before changing classes.

4) Spells are not carried over to other classes directly. Spellcasters learn a skill that represents learning three or so spells from their spell list. These collections of skills can each be equipped as stock skills to allow later classes to utilize the spells tied to that specific skill.

The advantage of class changing immediately at level 1 is that you lose no XP (half of 0 is 0), and can immediately leverage your 2 stock skill slots to modify a class, but then you do lose out at the chance for an extra stock skill for that class incarnation. The value of this is up to you.
