Are mouse controls *Good*?

I know it supports mouse and reports are generally that it works well, but I'm looking for specifics. In theory, Phantom Brave is my favorite NIS game, and I love them all to some degree or another, but I also found it to be the most frustrating in some cases.

Specifically, is targetting more precise? Is trying to get an aoe attack in the right place easier than with a controller? Can I more easily pick out the right target in a crowd than with a controller? Does it ease some of the frustrations that controllers could never really compensate for?

All I know is I started with kb/m, then went to controller, and now I'm back with the kb/m. It's more comfortable for me and definitely more accurate, although scrolling around with WASD seems weird, so I tend to use the mouse to navigate. Lots of clicking for every action, but that's understandable considering the genre.
