PS2 Version Vs. PC Version
Is there any intensive to pay full price for this game over just downloading an ISO of the original and play it on PCSX2. What are the differences between the PS2 version and the PC version?

It's the PSP version which has extras compared to the PS2 version.

The pc version will include Another Marona, an expansion of the game for new game +, This was included in the psp and wii versions of the game. The other incentive is to try to get NIS to make better ports and maybe get original content to Steam. Currently 20$, it is not the cheapest game, nor the most expensive. Really, ask yourself if that 20$ needs to go to something else, or could be better spent. I bought it for the 2nd reason, because I have a Wii hooked up to the monitor i'm on right now, with this exact game in the disk reader.
Here's why:
  • HD resolution support; 6:9 aspect ratio and most like ultra-wide screen support as well
  • Up-Rez'd sprites and textures
  • Updated UI
  • Option to play with mouse and keyboard
  • Remastered and cleaned audio
  • User mods... they are coming
  • All additional content missing from ps2 version recovered

Also, downloading the iso and playing on emulator is pirating.

I'm ok with pirating an old game that had already returned its investment and made profit and isn't available for purchase anymore. But I'd like remasters of old games coming to PC with better graphs, specially when this remaster doesn't pass by mobile first (which seems to not be the case here), so let's make sure it keeps coming.

And of course, if it's a bad port, we must complain and demand better quality.

pc games can always be improved through patches. playing on an emulator is not pirating directly but downloading the game might be. i personally have the playstation 2 version but it does have its issues like no money gotten for replaying a level.

If you're gonna pirate. Play the PSP version, not the PS2. lol
i have the playstation 2 version already so i can just play that in an emulator.

Is Emulation really, pirating? Not that I am one to talk.
emulation is not pirating. downloading games from the internet illegally is. there is emulators that works without the original bios of the console.

Exactly. If you have the console and the game, you can download (a backup copy) the game and bios and emulate, with higher resolution and 100% digital video and audio.

Of course, these companies are very happy when we had bought the cartridge on the day and now buy the game again to play it emulated on current consoles. And when a new console is released, they are even happier to announce that bought games won't be run on it and will be locked on the outdated console. 2 generations later, they sell the same game on the same emulator again.

That's why I love Steam. Instead of buying a physical copy which can get broken and lost and I'll need to buy the game again, on Steam my licence remains on their server and I can uninstall and install whenever I want and on any PC. And my saves remain safe on the cloud! It's more confortable and practical to buy games on Steam than pirate these same games and keep their setups and saves.

Like I said, I'm not one to talk. I don't remember the last time I actually "bought" a game.

If I love said game I would gladly buy the physical copy too. I bought Prinny Can I Really Be The Hero retail copy even tho I don't own a PSP and I bought it again on PSN to play it on my Vita.

Why'd you buy a game you'll never be able to play? Or do you mean you bought the game for a console you don't have to then play it on emulator?
