Just finished the game again
And I have to say, it never struck me on my first playthrough how... Odd, shall we say, Lamb's whole perspective on Delta is.

I understand her whole thing is to create "The perfect selfless entity" and all that. I think that's the most coherent thing about her. My problem with her is that her tirades about how we're "Corrupting her with self-awareness" and "We're interrupting the greater good" are presented like she doesn't understand our character physically has no reason to care about literally anything she's saying.

Like I get what Lamb's saying. We're ruining her plan to create what she sees as the perfect society or whatever, but the whole game I'm thinking "Lady if I do not save this girl I will ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die, what do you expect me to do here?" I don't get WHY she's wasting her time expounding her philosophy on us trying to convince us of her side in the matter when she should know better than anyone in Rapture we have perhaps the least reason to even care.

Her plan for Eleanor also makes very little sense. Her plan is essentially to fuse everyone's minds together using Adam to create a perfect entity, but by the time we get to Rapture in the game the only people whose' minds are able to be uploaded into Eleanor are basically crackheads and psychopaths, with the few sane people left hiding out in bunkers and making for the surface. If her plan was to create a perfect fused consciousness I'd argue she wouldn't exactly be working with the best ingredients here.

its really the whole point of any society....what is at the top is never the best its the best at suppressing things to meet their end goals.....

i also have to point out that this is the only game in the series not made by the 2 guys that started it all....this game was built with unused assets from the first game.....the whole series was going to be about how societies suppress people to be what they are....rapture was driven by unchecked advancements for profit and Bioshock Infinite showed how religion would suppress its people.....they never really got to finish the series like they wanted
Lamb is another selfish monster like Andrew Ryan. "MY plan is perfect, MY ideals/ideology is flawless! How dare you interfere with it!"

Lamb uses the appearance of altruism as a shield so she can pretend she's different, pretending that she's not egocentric because technically Eleanor is the focus of the movement. Except Lamb is 100% living vicariously through her. Lamb is so high off of her own self-righteous fumes that she can barely see anything in front of her.

The problem I have is she's going "How dare you interfere with my plan" as though we physically have any other choice BESIDES "interfere with her damn plan". Like she's going the whole game acting like we've got a choice in the matter when I'm sitting here thinking "Lady, if I do not get within like five feet of Eleanor within 24 hours I will go into a coma and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die, what do you want me to do?"

She treats our whole rampage through rapture as some sort of intentional act of sabotaging her plan, yet she of all people should know that we literally have no greater reason for doing what we're doing besides "Yeah I like the sound of my own heartbeat and would rather keep listening to it". Our quest is so utterly single-minded that I really don't know what room she thinks we have to agree with her in any capacity.
