2K Launcher Removal Patch Breaks the game
Says I have a 128 Kb update, however the update always fails saying Disk write error (Also happens on BioShock infinite). Reverts back to a blue "update" button but no play button. Only way to launch the game currently is to close Steam, turn off WiFi then relaunch steam disconnected... Then the game launches and plays just fine.

Anyone else with the same issue?

try quitting steam entirely and restarting. If that doesn't work you might just have to bite the bullet and completely reinstall the game. I find these issues are normally a steam download cache problem or similar though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had restarted steam a couple times with no success and then decided to uninstall Infinite and re-install.. however when trying to re-download again I got the same disk-write error.. so the game wouldn't re-install. So did a cache flush from settings but no luck either.

What did work was uninstalling the game, manually deleting the infinite folder from common, and then re-installing onto a different drive (same SSD just a partitioned drive), For some reason this worked and is now showing up to date. Now that its working at some point soon I'll try moving the game back to the original drive and see if it still works :P

There's other options not so destructive one can try first in case anyone else comes across "disk write error". It's a common Steam thing.. although it seems to have changed recently with the search function and keyword "disk write error"
Cache and disk location, something you touched on anyways.

Have a keyword?? Top of Client ^ > Help > Steam Support > scroll to bottom > enter keyword
