Pretty Sure I Fixed the Fullscreen Issue
I just got Bioshock Remastered and kept having issues running it in fullscreen. I did some research and it seems to be an issue that is known about, so I did some tinkering and figured out how to run the game in fullscreen, on Windows, and not have issues such as audio diaries not working.

To start, reset all of your graphics settings to the default, then set the resolution to something that works on your monitor, but is NOT 1080p or above, then switch on fullscreen and it should work. For example my monitor is 1920x1080 and I have Bioshock set to use 1280x720. It is not ideal, but the game will fully work at least.

Hope this helps others.

That really shouldn't be necessary. Try some of the fixes you can find here:

Also try setting things up manually in the ini file for the game, before launching it.

I couldn't seem to get it working, even having reviewed that site sadly.
