Chances are if you are asking that question, you only have one drive installed anyways, no judgement intended. But for future reference having OS on one drive and your games on another separate drive (preferably a SSD) is better for performance. There is a lot to learn about PC gaming but it is very enlightening once you decide to take on the challenge, it's a good hobby that has a lot of benefit in real life work, because then you know more about computers when others don't. You just have to want to learn.
Troubleshooting is all about knowing what questions to ask, and in this case ask google (if you prefer) how to install C++ It's just like updating your OS.
Most/many people have new Win10 gaming systems, you say you have several M2 drives (!!!) but since this is an old game that may not have been ported well, then old dll files (those in old versions of C++ ...) may not be in the game install and may not be in your new game system! And so they may be the trick to solve the impasse.
The TechPowerUp comprehensive archive of C++ should be reliable, they provide very good tools for game community, but again you need to make the decision to download and use their archive for yourself.
Really tho, the install of C++ is ultra simple, it just installs to your OS drive location, I am not being a ♥♥♥♥ here...
