Worth getting ps4 copy?

I am hearing such bad things about this port, maybe it is because it was free to people who already owned the orginal games on steam. I myself have never played bioshock and want to give it a chance but from what I am hearing about this port would it be worth getting the console version for a great first time bioshock exprience.

The remastered port falls short of expectations, I think, but at least it's more or less playable out of the box. Or was for me, anyway. The old original port was garbage sauce and needed a bunch of third-party fixes to be enjoyable.

If you want a great first time experience, I'd recommend you spring for the original version as it seems to be closer the the artistic direction than the remaster, which seems to happen when you hire an unknown third party to port something. Saying this as someone who has the ps3 version, pc version and will probably be picking it up on ps4 soon.

Other than that if you have any inkling that there will be an issue with getting it on your pc then you're probably better off with the PS4. No sense getting something that you think won't work and the console version is just fine. I can't get the remaster to even start, and I've never really had problems with games not working.

Unless the PS4 will run the game better than your PC, no.

Also, for me, the game runs just fine. Just because some other people might or might not have objective issues doens't mean you will too. Luckily there are refunds now, and if you got it for free... well, ya...

from what I can tell, the ps4 runs bioshock 1 and 2 better than the pc version, however the performance of infinite is sub par on ps but that's an issue with all unreal 3 games ported to the current consoles.

I got the Collection on PS4 (as Gift), but is it worth it? sadly.. no. It lacks proper Anisotropic Filtering, has Tearing most of the Time, also hiccups and stutters.. i also got the PC version for Free due to owning the Originals.. it's really sad to see this Amazing Game being treated so poorly. On PC? it's a mess too, not as bad anymore after the Patch, but not perfect. But atleast it runs at 60 FPS with Maxed ini tweaks + AF at 16x. Although my Hardware is really powerful, and i play in 1080p (not 4K anymore.. thanks to Asus' Shoddy untested Monitors with Gsync Panel etc.).
