The Answer is "No." - Survivor Achievments and New Game +
I decided to test this out, seeing that people were able to get the Achievments for playing the highest difficulty and No Vita-Chambers on Xbox, but not PS. The answer for PC is a big fat "No." So, if you're wanting to get these ach's, be sure to start a brand new game!

On some console versions yes.

Apparently, you can use console commands to spawn everything you'd need to make it easy mode anyway...

Only in the remastered for PC and the console versions that already featured it, yes. After you beat the game and start a new game, you'll be prompted with the New Game Plus. For those that don't know what this is, you will basically continue off of the character you used to beat the game, keeping your tonics, plasmids, upgrades, and weapons.

Are you sure? You did beat it and didn't get anything? I saw people saying that you can get survivor achievements on new game+.

I got them on NG+. Don't know if it's just being buggy or not.

When I was doing one of the roses achievements, it didn't give it to me the first time when I got it so I did it again and got it.

True man gets it on brand new game anyway. What's pleasure to play on survivor difficulty, if you are fully stocked with weapons, plasmids and upgrades from very beginning.

All depends on your play style, really. Some people like to barrage everything down, and others enjoy a challenge.

Typcically, I'm all for "using your recourses" and making things simple, but....this acheivement is supposed to be more difficult after all.

I did it without NG+, the game's not even that hard.

I think you're all missing the point of this post. It was not to complain, I played the game on NG+ to find out for everyone. You're welcome.

Thank you?

But yeah, thanks for doing the thankless work.

But some people said they got it on New Game +. Someone is lying or was there a glitch?

OP's difficulty could have changed, which is common, which would explain why he didn't get the achievement.

Is this a known bug?
