Are there difficulty achievements?
I was playing survivor all morning and then when I tried going to the map the game froze.

I restarted my computer and it reset all of my options including my difficulty. I ended up saving without realizing it.

So, is there an achievement for beating the game on certain difficulties?

Yep, there are.

"Seriously Good at This
Complete the game on the hardest difficulty setting"

Didn't bother to check further once I found that particular achievement though.

My difficulty resets to medium after every reload, so until they fix that I don't see how I can get anything realating to difficulty.

The results of this "let's get everything remastered so we can sell our game a second time" trend will be mocked in a few years till the industry crashes again. :steammocking:
well depends on how you qualify "difficult"
there is the annoying get all 1 million lore Audio logs, wich means you have to go find all and not miss any 1 since it only counts in a single play hrough
or
there is the "Impossible achievement", wich is beating the game on Survivor (not just Hard unlike "Serious Good at this") AND with no Vita-chambers, meaning if/when you die, you die, and have to load last save
ofc you could just save often...
buuut with the random crash chance and "hey i now randomly decides to delete ALL your savegames bug" this suddenly can become a challenge for some people experiencing the crash/sdelete savegame bug ;)

enjoy ;)

Yes, there are harder difficulty achivements.

In case that ever happens again though, you can load a previous save file, change difficulty and load up your current run through and still get the achievements for survivor. Since you saved over though you might need to restart the game.

Yeah I'll hold off on playing any of the the remasters until/if they get this stuff patched. Thanks for the input.

I was playing Survivor w/o vita chambers too.

Just a heads up, I had a crash (only one) that reseted my difficulty from Hard to Medium, I set it back to Hard, and I changed it to Survivor for the final boss. After beating him, I unlocked all 4 difficulty achievements (the no vita chambers ones included), so it seens that it is unlike BS2 that you need to stick with Hard difficulty all the way.

Well thanks for news! I think I will do the same. Mb its working. I play on hard with no Vita chambers.

I can confirm that yes you can just switch the difficulty and disable vita chambers last minute prior to boss fight and get those achievements. I'd been playing on Medium all the way through and just got those achievements when I switched and beat the game.

Didn't really happen, it was mocked but they are still firmly doing it.

22-year-old me really underestimated just how much people like buying their games a second time, huh. :brownchicken:

I like how you presume they stopped playing games since they wrote that. Or was such logic discarded in your eagerness to necro this topic 🥴.

I mean, not only was this thread was 10 days old when you replied to it, but the person you were replying to was talking about the trend within the game industry to remaster everything needlessly, not about one person in particular.
