Poor hands/weapons animations?
Compared to the original Bioshock, don't you feel that the animations affecting hands and weapons are poor? Like if they move at 30fps or something like that.

They fixed the ragdoll and physics 30fps animations from the original, but they have spoiled the hands and weapons animations, which in the original ran at 60 fps.

The issue doesn't happens always, only when you do an action (shooting, changing weapons or changing from plasmid to weapon, zoom in/out, etc). When you don't do any action, the hands and weapons animations and movements are at 60fps.

I uninstalled this awful remasteritation, and I don't want to download it again just to test something that I guess is not fixed.
Blind Squirrel Games isn't going to patch it any further i'm afraid.. they just released this to make a quick buck out of Bioshock fans.. and for me personally ruined a franchise.

Their name does fit them well.. Blind Squirrel.

yeah, I agree, even they didn't nuined the franchise for me. Original Bioshock, which I love, is still there and is still the same (and we have the 60FPS phyisics mod-fix, so...).

but... do you have the game installed? did you test if this animation bug was fixed with the two month ago patch?

I'm mainly playing it on my PS4, sorry. BSG released only one patch for that platform, but hand animations are the same unfortunately.. and i seriously doubt they fixed it for PC at all.. i mean Bioshock Infinite's Remaster (only for consoles) is still unpatched and runs not so well.. so this pretty much shows they don't give a hoo :/

I'm kinda disappointed with Ken Levine and his efforts for post-release quality of his games. They're always perfect in the first few years of their release, but then after new operating systems come out, there's little effort to keep them compatible. In Bioshock 1 and 2 for instance, they have awful sound issues that you can only fix by manually editing a file or downloading a "missing" file from some smart programmer who posted it online.

It's almost like he doesn't really care about the longevity of the games; the "remasters" which were pretty much RETEXTURES even carry along the same sound issues, if not worse sound issues.

Ken Levine is good for the initial relase with his projects but he fails on so many levels when it comes to maintaining quality in the long run.

From what i heard Infinite isn't really a remaster, i believe they just used the pc assets and changed the graphics settings closer to maxed pc version. Not releasing it for pc makes sense because there wouldn't be any difference from the original if that is the case.

It just shows that 2K nor Ken Levine or Blind Squirrel Games (those who "remastered" 1&2 and ported infinite) don't care at all. I've heard zero communication from any of them.. except how BSG praised themselves and how proud they are of this "remaster". It still has original bugs from the first releases..

2K is known to be greedy and non user friendly publisher.
I haven't heard anything about BSG team before, makes me think they might be a mobile game developer if they really think they did good job with this project.

I don't think Levine has anything to do or has any say what happens to Bioshock anymore 2K owns it, he quit making AAA games and is working on some smaller game if i remember correctly.

I've reinstalled this thing, just to check if the 4-5 months ago patch fixed it, and not at all, this awful and unacceptable bug and bad programming is still there.

Yeah it's annoying, aside from the occasional crash deleting save's bug it's the most egregious, hard to not see it once you do. That's very likely the last patch though, they've moved on.

I give up with this game and this bug. The last update didn't fix it. 1'2gb update and they didn't fix it. Good work Blind Squirrel. (yeah, they seem completly blind)

xD This disaster would be quite more fun if we did not talk about one of the best games in history. His blindness is disturbing.

Yes the game was made for 30 frames and so are animations. Some of it can be changed but some animations are hardcoded.

Actually the game runs at 60 FPS. Even physics has been upgraded from 30 fps (original Bioshock) to 60 fps. But hands and weapons animations has been downgraded from 60 fps (original Bioshock) to 30 fps, without a reasonable reason.

So... not all the game runs at 30fps, only hands and weapons animations.

They ported it badly, it was made for 30, in order to convert some animations you have to rebuild them since they are hard coded to run 30 which means in a 60fps enviroment you'll get double the actions from the animtion if its tied to firerates and what not.
