Needs patch... lots of crashes

Game plays fine other than the fact that bringing up the map menu will occasionally freeze the game, may have something to do with that menu being capped to 30 fps. Going on 3 crashes in 3 hours, so about one per hour. so saving often helps but damn. Also see many other threads with other problems as well... lazy port?
My rig is well capable of playing the game, and has had a fresh install of W10, with updated drivers for system and gfx card.

Anyone think this will get any support or are we stuck with it as is?

Yeah me too :( i need to save sometimes because the first time i didnt save and crash when he autosave and i lose everything.And crash when i quicksave sometimes :( and lose all the saves.

Crashing here too - at the start level when entering the diving device. If this thing wasn't free I'd ask for a refund....

Game is unplayable in its current state. Take away all the controls issues that are fixable with config commands, this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess because many of us can't proceed due to constant crashes and not only once an hour...

My crashes have stopped (at least for 3 hours so far) after reverting to an unedited Bioshock.ini. I still have an edited User.ini to allow for the mouse fix. Starting the game after a crash reverts both Bioshock.ini and User.ini to their original unedited versions. Good luck guys, please write back if it does/does not work, or if you are already playing with an unedited Bioshock.ini.

I can't get past the first level atm because the game stops responding. In addition to this everytime I restart the game and press "continue" the difficulty resets to medium.

I get a crash every time at the end of the first Big Daddy fight...
Other issues include that I lose my keybindings and some video/audio settings.

I hope they'll also support 4:3 aspect ratios...not all of us are ready to buy a new monitor yet...

It doesn't crash so often to me, but I just experienced my first crash, in Point Prometheus, and it had some nasty consequences. I lost all my key bindings and settings (graphics, gameplay). But the worst thing is that now the game says I didn't collect any of the director's reels. Very nice.

Yep had the same issue, just finished the game last night after more crashes than i have fingers and toes, now it says i only collected the very first director commentary....

Makes no difference for me if i edit any .ini for to get rid of mouse smoothing or not.

Funny thing is that the game ran really fine until i arrived at Neptunes Bounty where the crashing/freezing started.

And all these crashes and freezes would still be not that way bad if the game would not automatically reset ALL my changes to settings/keyboard bindings.

It now makes me mad that i have to change everything over and over again all 15-20 minutes until the next crash resets things again...

Now that I think about it... I belive my crashing began in Neptunes Bounty as well. I am experencing complete freeze of the PC and at other times only the crash to desktop of the .exe. I haven't lost any saves so far but the crashing is quickly making me lose interest and that's sad. Also of note: I am seeing the difficulty slider be in a different location whenb I start or load a saved point. I'm not sure what that's about but you can sure tell once you start playing so I have to check it every time now.

I can not play the game, it crashes exatly when I arrive to Rapture, in the first autosave...
Before you can see the 1st Spider Splicer... destroying your Sphere... :'(
