Any way to stop stuttering?
The game runs at 60, but stutters often. Any fixes for this?

In the original game there are no stutters, i think the problem is the remaster.

Okay i see. But the stutter is real, even with a good video card :/

There are fixes, look for my post, it lists all the fixes

Yeah, the original runs well for me. Funny enough, the remaster actually hits 60 most of the time, but randomly slows down in the middle of play. I don't mean FPS slowdown, but the game itself slows down.

Weird. I don't know if i have this problem too, i'm at the beginning of the game.

Have you tried to disable v-sync ?

Funny enough, disabling VSync made it worse

Try one program called D3Doverrider then execute... With program opened select the "Bioshock.exe" on the "Application profile properties" if doens't exist you need to set, by clicking on the big plus icon (+) and then go to your Bioshock Directory.. and select the executable icon, after that be sure that is set to HIGH on the "Application detection level" and "ON" on "Force triple buffering" and "Force VSync" that helps me a lot! And be sure to minimize the program and not closed.. xD

Sorry for my bad english, then send me some feedback :)

No but now i think the problem is something else. Stutters appears only when i turn the camera around me with the xbox 360 controller (or the mouse). If i walk without moving the camera they are no stutters. Really weird ^^

Invest in a new pc not for this crappy pc remaster port, but on better games out there.

There is really something wrong with this version. I experience massive stuttering when looking around in a new area, making it impossible to play. Changing some values in the Bioshock.ini did not work for me. :steamsad:

If we look the notes for the upcoming patch, there is nothing written about the stuttering. I think they will not do anything, only few persons have this problem.

I didn't really have this problem in the first game up until the final stage. But with bioshock 2 it's been like that since the beginning. Going to try an dplay the original and see maybe if it's my computer or OS, but I'm pretty sure it's the game.

Update, if you have the original Bioshock 2 just play that one. Not only does it look a little nicer oddly enough, but it runs so smooth I haven't had a single frame drop yet. However if you don't have Minerva's Den for the original then I just recommend dealing with the bad remastered version, because from what I hear Minerva's Den is actually better than the base game.
