Glitches...
So here's a running list of glitches I've found so far (under Windows 10 64-bit):

*Starting the game, IT decides if it's going to remain fullscreen or start in windowed mode.
*Graphics settings and controller settings reset every time the game is closed.
*Game crashes at random (middle of manually saving, alt-tabbing, middle of a fire-fight).
*Game doesn't autosave every five minutes (as defined by its own .ini file).
*Audio doesn't exist at random, as per after the introduction/menu sounds (when starting the game, it decides if it will play audio or not). One attempt to play had the MUSIC playing through my headset while sound effects playing through my computer's stereo output... but restarting the game fixed it.

While the game is beautiful when it works as intended, the game is also a gamble as to IF it will work or for how long.

ive found that basically any model in the game will flicker in and out of existance at random (purely graphical, they still exist as far as the physics engine is concerned). i get that developing for PC is hard and has lots of variables hardware-wise but geez :steamsalty:

Most of your problems cna be resolved by going through this guide: http://www.tweakguides.com/Bioshock_1.html

The game is nearing ten years, back in the old days, we didn't have auto saves, you had to remember to save the game.

Oh I remember those days well... I have all of the original Bioshock releases (as well as some of my more favorite DOS and Win95/98 games with their packaging and CD-Rom discs) ;p
