Console command's.... Bioshock 1-2

After the latest intervention by 2K, console command-launch options add "-allowconsole" doesnt work?

Have you bypassed the launcher, otherwise you're just passing the launch option to that instead of the game

I am also curious to get it working again i have the same issue here, ive bypassed the launcher multiple times and that is no issue at all. Ever since the update the console just simply will not show up even with -allowconsole. Does anyone have else have this similar issue and possibly a fix/workaround? i've scoured around and tried multiple things but no dice.

still looking but so far seems like no one has turned anything up.

I didn't have time till today to check but I can confirm the console is not available, not sure when it was patched out, you can always use a workaround if you only need to run a couple of commands

Eg, in user.ini you can set a keyboard shortcut like:

numpad8=exec hack.txt

Which will execute the file hack.txt

This file is stored at:

..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BioShock Remastered\ContentBaked\pc\System

Here is an example of a file, this one will give 999 autohack tools when pressing numpad 8

GiveItem 999 ShockGame.Autohack

Use f.e. as launch options to skip 2K extra launcher + command:

"D:\Steam\steamapps\common\BioShock Remastered\Build\Final\BioshockHD.exe" -allowconsole %command%

There are a lot of guides and threads explaining this...

Make sure you changed the right mapping in user.ini there are lots of places which defines what the key definition is:

And they are all irrelevant, you cannot allow console if the shipping build doesn't have it enabled.

Works fine with GOG version but not Steam or EGS
