Difficulty Achievements

Game changed the difficulty setting without me knowing (I was playing on Survivor without Vita-Chambers) and I accidentally played a good portion of it on Medium (like 3 hours). I only realized when the game revived me using vita (I loaded a previous save so I assume I wouldn't miss the 'no-vita achievement's). I also returned to the original difficulty and will finish the game on it. My question is, will I miss the achievements related with survivor difficulty? It was the only reason that I decided to play this once again. I would be mad if I lose all my progression because of a stupid game bug.

Don't worry, the game is well known to reset difficulty all the time, has done for ages. You can still get the difficulty-based achievement if you change the difficulty to maximum right before the final scene where you go up the elevator to battle Fontaine. I did it this morning, so I know this loophole still works as of now haha.

thats stupid tho. like where is the incentive to play the whole game on the hardest difficulty if u can just switch it right at the end. cmon man!

The incentive is for hardcore shooter players to beat a game on hard, not getting a badge for it. I usually don't feel that itch, but I did it in Fallout NV and Prey (2017)...they got to me somehow...still vividly remember the deathclaw omelet quest and the fight in the quarry :)
