Stuck in the Upper Wharf

Since it was cheap, and I'd never played the game back in the day, I bought Bioshock Remastered.

I finished a game on Easy just to acclimatize myself, then started a new game plus on Normal.

I've made it as far as Neptune's Bounty and I'm doing the photograph spider splicer quest. I got the camera from the Wharfmaster's office then wandered around because there's no pointer telling me where to go. I end up in the area with Jet Postal and the pub. Managed to get a picture of a spider slicer there. I can't find anything else so I tried to leave that area.

But I can't. There is a heavy grate in the south end of the Upper Wharf, the Lotz and Sons area, that keeps me out of the rest of the level. I've been looking around everywhere to see if there is something I missed. Searched online to see what was out there. I even aggroed a Rosie to see if it would knock the grate down.

Nothing worked.

So, is this a glitch? Or have I overlooked something ?

If I remember correctly, you have to take pictures of 3 spider splicers. One where the camera is in the next door room, one in the Jet Postal area, and the other in the upper floor of the Pub where the safe is.

This is a known bug in the remastered version. Try reloading to a save before entering McDonagh's Tavern. Go to room number 5 and exit with your camera equipped. Keep your camera aimed towards the roof while exiting. A spider slicer will spawn, take it's picture immediately as it won't spawn again.
