This is what I was worried about.
It still an absolute dumpster fire of a port. I honestly wish I could get "new game plus" or FOV slider or whatever PS3 Exclusive content this remastered has on original and give middle finger to this port.
Worst part is how lighting is changed for the worse and in some case downgraded for no reason at all. it also has AI bug i.e if you torch enemy they don't run for water but stand there like a moron and god knows what else.
You would think switch and other console port might be saved but nope they too are screwed.
If you want to play on PC just play the original with mods and on console I can only recommend PS3 copy. (assuming you even have PS3)
Using DXVK Async would probably make the game even more stable.
Go right ahead.
I didn't play the remastered version as even though I may be one of the lucky ones, I really didn't want to get a decent way through the game and lose my progress. So i played the original (which to be fair sounds hit or miss to many people too...) but it worked without issue for me. I'm hoping the second is the same, and until they patch the remastered versions (it's been so long, I'm not gonna hold my breathe for this) I think I'll stick with the originals...
I do hope they get around to fixing the remasters though, they don't seem to mind selling the game and having fairly regular sales...
