No, there will be absolutely no Multiplayer for either Stronghold 2* or Legends since there is no LAN capablities. If you want to play any multiplayer then you'll have to do it before May 31.

* Stronghold 2 pre 1.3 had LAN capablities but it didn't function correctly, if you use a non Steam version (disc, non gold release) you could attempt it with Hamachi but it most likely wouldn't work & be very buggy.

Few people are still playing stronghold 2 with gameranger, but there is no one who knows a fix.

I heard that as a game developer you can hand over your online servers to Steam and they'll run them for you, like when you dont want to deal with it anymore... Is that true??? If so why hasn't Firefly done this?

I'm pretty sure Steamworks Integration is something that must be done by the developer, and Valve likely charges a fee to use their servers.

Ahhhhhh... But still wouldn't they still do that for the more recent ones like Legends? I mean come on I loved that game. And if they added multiplayer back to one or two of the recent Strongholds they might be able to get something of a fanbase back and maybe squeeze another couple hundred dollars out of the series... Wishful thinking for the win... I..I'm just going to go and cry in a corner and remember these games...lol.

Would love even to just be able to play this game with the AI. I loved tearing them down, but can't anymore since multiplayer is inaccessible. :/

EDIT: Just found out that the AI multiplayer is actually under 'The Path of War' Kingmaker challenge.
