Report a translation problem
Please ensure your drivers are up to date by doing the following.
1. Download your graphics card graphics driver. Popular adaptors are:
NVIDIA-based graphics adapter - http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php
ATI/AMD-based graphics adapter - http://www.amd.com/uk/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx
INTEL-based graphic adapter - http://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/en/homepage.html
2. Ensure DirectX is up to date. Download and install the following package - http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=35
3. Open Steam, go to Library, right click on Stronghold HD, select Properties, select the Local Files tab and then Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
4. In Windows, go to the folder - C:\Users\<User Name>\Documents\Stronghold
and delete the file called stronghold.cfg
Run Stronghold HD.
Then remove compatibility mode and launch it again, now you can set it to your max res size and enjoy.

Could you check your monitor's refresh rate? If you don't know how, go to the Screen Resolution menu, right click on desktop, and then go to advanced settings. After that click on the Monitor tab. Refresh rate on my laptop is 60 Hz. Check what's yours.
