I went with other harder way - front door. But this one si more sneaky
For the second half of the castle you need to take your remaining archers and man the turrets as your remaining macemen rush foward. In the end you'll only havea few macemen or whatever left as you exect the back of the castle.
Again, in my opinion it's the hardest mission in the campaign. It's actually also tedious, because once you know the strat to win, you have to spend time doing it, so it's almost more of a puzzle than an anything else.
I've played through the campaign a few times, but the last time when I came to this mission I quit because it's simply not that fun.
