Timber and Stone

So, I have tried to install the cheat mod for this game, but I did not worked instead broke the whole game and had to re-install back. If anyone is currently using the cheat mod for the current version, please let me know how to do it right. Or if there is a vid that I can looked up, would be much better thanks.

doesnt break the whole game. You just need to put it in the SAVES folder like the install instructions tell you instead of in the main folder or the other dll folder. Putting it in the wrong location causes crashes.

Well its impossible for the cheat mod to force you to reinstall as it doesnt touch any vanilla files. Even if it doesnt work that just means you remove the plugin.dll. No reinstall needed unless you broke something yourself. Which implies you didnt follow instructions somewhere.

If you have the file in the Saves folder like Seronis said, try pressing the V key on your keyboard (while in game) to bring up the user interface for that and see if it is there.

So, this is what I did. I downloaded the file, then I transfer it to the game folder where the saves file is, then started up de game and nothing heppened even though I press "V" to toggle the menu but nothing came up.

Frost, you downloaded the .dll file for the mod right? Unzipped it to C: steam/steam apps/common/timber and stone/saves?

In that saves folder you have the .dll?

If you put that file in the correct place, you will see a window prompt when you start the game stating push "V" in game etc etc. You get a messege in chat as well unpon loading your settlement.

If you put a copy of it in the wrong location first you still need to remove the bad copies. Having plugin.dll in any folder other than saves will cause crashes. It must be in saves and must not be anywhere else.

UGH.. also.. and this is common sense that applies to modding any game.

the version of the mod must match the version of the game.

So, I downloaded, then unzipped, but when unzipped it does not goes directly to C: steam/steam apps/common/timber and stone/saves. So what did was took the plugin.dll and tranfers it to the game files but when I start up the game nothing happens? I'm not sure what is wrong? And this says that the current version of the mod is this one here: Mod v1.6.3
