Is there a way to keep voice chat permanently on?
I only plan on playing with friends exclusively so is there a way we can just keep our voice chats on voice activated instead of push to talk. We're fine with the proximity chat, it makes it way more fun but it being voice activated would be fantastic. Just wondering if that is possible right now, still going to have fun regardless of the answer.

Thank you!

Mic spam by trolls is already bad enough. If voice activation is included, I would like to see a better mute and kick system included far ahead of time.

This is fair, I was more talking about custom games with my friends. I definitely see how this option could be unappealing in a public lobby.

Required push to talk is the #1 thing that makes the game unplayable to my group. None of us use push to talk for anything else and pressing a button isn't the first thing that occurs to any of us when we start screaming in a panic because someone is running down a hallway with your exact name and color. If I can't hear the panicked screams of my friends what is the point. :)

This. I don't want to hear babies crying in the background while I play.

That's the idea.

Still can't give an official word on open-mic settings, but it's something I'd like to add in the future simply for accessibility reasons.
Is there a way to have proximity chat on discord?

Nope, there's no integration of that sort.

Anything new regarding open-mic being added? I would love to use it.

It would nice if it could be added as a lobby toggle. If you have a private lobby, you should be able to enable open-mic. That should fix the issue of trolls, since it allows the host to control that privilege. Push to talk can be really unintuitive when you’re getting shot at or mauled to death, since you’re splitting your focus between avoiding danger, fighting back, and calling out your situation. I can see it being abused in public games to play loud audio or just mic spam, but most private games don’t have that same issue because they moderate themselves. It think it’d be a very good addition, since I often find myself yelling without realizing I’m not even pushing to talk, and then of course dying silently.
