I have a video on Iceland (brutal difficulty) that could give you ideas overall including for Germany: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zT5Xcgi57AA
On brutal, you have to often sell and downgrade due to lack of resources. That shouldn't be very common in normal mode, so don't worry about that part so much. Germany has a lot going via multiple paths and air so having a balance of towers is key as is making sure many of your towers hit the enemy twice. With a good maze design, the latter should be feasible. Let us know how it goes!
For late Germany waves I paid more attention to mazing and placing correct towers (or modify existing ones if needed) and made final waves
6th wave was way worse than final one with Tiger S Tank
Decided to continue playing on easy since Australia though, now im before Mexico mission and despite playng on lowest difficulty (while sometimes still struggling) I enjoy the game a lot!
