Modding the X-Morph's laser yourself
Ok, for those who are still not satisfied with the damage output of the X-Morph's laser. You can do it yourself by editing the game's files like i have (don't worry, it's simple enough) and i'm going to tell you how to do that with a step-by-step guide. Take note that this will only apply to the X-Morph FIGHTER'S laser weapon, you will need to find the files for the X-Morph laser tower and change its values if you want to do that instead.

1. Find your X-Morph Defense file directory, mine is here: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Morph Defense

2. Enter the "Packs" folder

3. Extract the contents of the "00_win32_data" archive (you can use a program called "Winrar" to do this) and open it once extracted.

4. Open the "Entities" folder then open the "Player" folder inside of that and inside of the "Player" folder, open the "blue" folder. Inside of the "blue" folder you'll see a "projectiles" folder. Open that and in that you should see a "player_laser" entity file. Open that with Notepad or any other program where you can edit the values inside.

5. Inside the entity folder, you will see a whole bunch of code for the laser. Find the "damage" line of the code and then find the "value" line of the code just after the "damage" line of code. There you will see the initial value for the laser's damage and from there, just change the damage value to whatever you want. Take 100 damage for example as the value instead of the original value. Experiment to change the laser to your liking.

And there you go, now the laser SHOULD be modified to the damage value you changed it to. However, this may not 100% work because i have used a folder which was originally used to support a modified bomb ability for the X-Morph fighter. That folder can be found here: http://www.xmorphdefense.com/download/99_win32_data_super_bombs.zip I have used this folder for all of the modifications i have made to the game. (Weapon buffs) You may have to copy the "entities" folder (as mentioned in the 4th step) and paste it into the "entities" folder of the mod folder where the super bombs are located. Just overwrite the mod file's "entities" folder with your own modded "entities" folder and it SHOULD work.

Hope this helps. If there's a wrong step in this then i'm sure a developer can clarify but it worked for me. After rigorous.... rigorous testing....

Now get out there and Independence day that♥♥♥♥♥♥. :D

Important side note: This can make the X-Morph's laser EXTREMELY overpowered, to the point where you can wipe out entire columns of enemy attacks yourself. That all depends on how high you set the damage value of the laser to. Something like 500 is obviously going to be ridiculous and you will obliterate everything in front of you. I suggest you make a backup of the folders you mod in case you don't like the changes but that's just my opinion.

Hey, thanks for the modding tips. Just FYI, an easy way for anyone to get to their game install folder (for any game on Steam) is to right click the game in your Library, go to Properties, Local Files tab, click Browse Local Files, and that should open it up.

Also, if people don't want to mess with trialware like WinRAR, 7zip is a good free alternative.

No problem man, if anything is unclear with the guide then let me know.

And yeah, i forgot to mention there's also software like 7zip that can be used as an alternative to Winzip. I just use Winzip personally.
