This one is a bit cryptic...

Hint 1:
You "return" something to the aliens

Hint 2:
Reverse the sequence given to you in the transmission

Hint 3:
The last statement is "Aliens" "move" the "meteorite" to "receiver/earth/humans"

The answer:
"Receiver/earth/humans" "move" the "meteorite" to "Aliens"

A bit late but just in case this gets found, you have to take their last message and just replace the words to reverse it.

Their message is:
Aliens take Meteorite0 move earth to which means Aliens take Meteorite 0. Move Meteorite 0 to earth

You have to adjust the message to state that you will do the same in return:
Earth take Meteorite1 move aliens to which means Earth take Meteorite 1. Move Meteorite 1 to Aliens

There is also Earth make meteorite1 in the message that you recieve.

Also in a previous message that you can skip, there's also the same thing with two points. One is 0,0 and the other one is very far.

why a 1 instead of a 0. i thought it was referring to transmission 0, the first one where you both just say 0 to eachother. 179 is so badly made. you get two new words thrown at you, an entirely new concept of speaking, barely half an example and are expected to just guess. my game never had any hints appear after 30 minutes and i had to just look up the answer once i gave up. it makes no sense. worst signal so far.

Yeah maybe I just had bad translatations to start with, but this was impossible for me without looking it up. I had "number" instead of meteor lol

it's a 1 instead of 0 because it's a new thing, a different instance

Its especially weird to me, that the game spends multiple messages asking me if i understood basic math, but then wants me to make a leap here based on very cryptic information. I was a bit disapointed, the rest so far was amazing.

For me this transmission made perfect sense immediately, because of course that's what they would want to happen, or at least what I'd want in that position. If I'm gonna send a message to a faraway foreign world, of course I want to hear back from them. All the maths and physics and all that were leading up to this point anyway since it's a real language being deciphered here, the homework is a means and not an end. Also, reading the transmission aloud in my mind helped to see the pattern too. If this is what they do, what do they want me to do? Note that this sort of transmission isn't a one-off, there are more to come in this vein

This one was suddenly a huge leap, and I'm baffled as to why it didn't take the same incremental approach as every transmission before this one.

Throwing two brand new concepts into the mix from nowhere, without context, and the task is immediately asking you to construct some kind of meaningful response? Where's the building blocks to establish you have any idea what -44. -45, -46 mean before having to blend them together?

It honestly reads like there are four transmissions missing before this one.

I agree, this one throws far too many new concepts too quickly without making sure you understand the previous as before. I have no context to figure out ANY of the 3 new symbols, but I'm supposed to infer something that involves all 3.

The leaps are larger with language puzzles, and guesswork is definitely required unless you happen to have the exact right definitions for earlier stuff. It's not always as orderly as the math and science stuff.

I'm not even sure how I decided to swap it around in 179, but I remember it feeling obvious

There's no particular reason this should be true. The leap here could (and I suggest should) be broken into much smaller, more digestible pieces.

What earlier stuff? The concepts in 179 had just been introduced, with no attempt made to build up context before jumping to 'flip the given sentence around for some reason'.

So then why bait and switch with a string of satisfying puzzles, only to throw this in as a curveball? To randomly kill the enjoyment?

This is as vague as the puzzle itself. It feeling obvious for no articulable reason is exactly the kind of nonsense that guarantees a fair proportion of people are going to bounce right off it.

Terrible puzzle design methodology, if you're right.

There are two new words here. Depending on how you've defined or understood the other words will greatly change how easily you undertant the puzzle.
I reckon my line of thinking went something like
WORD1 FORM METORITE 0 okay... that would be Aliens made the meteroite
WORD1 SOURCE METORITE 0 MOVE WORD2 TARGET okay so... The metor was moved from where they are to somewhere else. Is word 2 us? HUMAN TARGET?
And then at that point it's pretty clear ... at least to me.
HUMAN SOURCE METORITE 1 MOVE ALIEN TARGET They want us to make a new metorite to send back
At least that was my itnerpretation at the time. At the very least you can see that the two words are used in the same sentence gramatically and are therefore similar grammar structures and can copy the sentence structure above (that may even be what I did and I'm just re-reationalizing it now that I understand the meaning)

Where I am currently in the game - I went through a whole section with 6 new words and I only understood 2 of those words. And then in the reacap the team was using my placeholders &A, &C, &E and &F like they already knew what they meant. It's only because of the way the team used the words and their hypotheses later that I now know what the words meant.
Realistically, those puzzles should have blocked me - rather than allowing me to make semantic deductions based purely on phrasing.
