Worth Getting?
I've never played hard reset, but I have shadow warrior so I can get it for 3 bucks. Should I pick it up?

Absolutely NO! Get original Hard Reset wich is not visually downgraded and not dumbed down in gameplay!

People are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about a few graphical problems, but the overall upgrades are worth it. I mean come on its 3 dollars. I could throw 3 dollars into the fire and it would mean nothing to me. Though I would not waste money - rather give it to a homeless man or women in need.

Just a note: If you buy this you will get both the Redux and the original game. Then you can decide which one to play... :B1:

If you've never played it, it's easily worth it. And it's only 3 dollars, less than a meal. go for it

I don't see the graphics "downgrade" at all. I played the original many times, and the Redux is just as awesome. Especially with the new dodge feature! GO BUY IT!

there sare some lighting effects and ao that are missing, and some moron did a comparison and complained about textures being blury, when they used an aa pass that blurs the entire screen... some points are valid, others arent.

devs are said to be mentioning something soone, but i dont know.

I think you are incorrect about getting the original game
If you buy the Redux edition thats all you get

part of that is improved engine, some of that is effects not properly implemented yet

I picked it up seems like the point is moot about that since I get the original anyway so I get both versions anyway.

No, you get both games if you don't have the original game. I bought it myself to a good (real life) friend from his account as a gift for him while I was visiting him. He wanted the Redux version and to our surprise the purchase included the original game too. Then we searched this forum in case others had the same luck or if it was just a (cool) glitch, and we were not the only ones. Check for yourself. Also, if you already have the original game, when you buy the Redux version for yourself you're warned that you won't get a new copy of Hard Reset: Extended Edition because you already own it. This is the full message (copied and pasted):

According to our records, you already own one or more of the items included in your cart.
If purchasing for yourself, you will not receive an extra copy of:
Hard Reset Extended Edition
Would you still like to continue with your purchase?

So in case somebody has only the Shadow Warrior game and not the original Hard Reset, this is a great deal! :ss13ok:

The original doesn't appear in the cart, but it's added automatically after the purchase, when the Redux game is added to the Library.
