heuristic virus warning for launcher.exe?
Pretty sure it's a fake warning, Norton likes to throw these. Anyone else got one?

Your mother pranked your father by giving birth to you.

same here. i guess the only way is to execlude the data from scans and verify integrity of game cache afterwards to fix the missing executable.

Definitely a fake. I ended up dropping Norton because it seemed like I couldn't go two feet without it detecting another "virus." OpenXcom, the old Minecraft launcher, even Source SDK got flagged. Now, I just stick with Windows Defender, and it's been fine so far.

I'm not saying to go throw your antivirus out the window, but there's no way FWH would ever do something nasty to your computer like that. You're safe, just make an exception here.

Yeah, I also just made it an exception. Wild Hog is a super legit company, and if this was really a virus, we'd have a lot more posts.

Well, that's how heuristic works. Sometimes you get false alarms.

there refered too as false positives, which it happens commonly when a developers end work the exe resembles an virus or such when compared to virus defenitions.

its very common, with many antivirus programs.
