Report a translation problem
Go to your game folder in steam (or wherever it placed) and open it.
There you will find a folder named "data" ... open it too.
After that you can see the "default.cfg" data.
in this default.cfg is a short part called " r_fullscreen "2" ".
Change the number 2 in 1 and save.
Now you can start the game again and everything will work fine.
ps. don't change the fullscreen in window or fullscreen borderless.
If you mean you must do that you will have the same problem again.
I did the same thing you did. After setting to full screen, went to the top menu option, pressed the up arrow twice and hit enter to save.
When i installed the game the game automatically choose the highest resolution and i couldn't change my settings ingame, since i couldn't reach the save button >_<
Going to the file file like Vrenrik mentioned earlier helped, but it was the "config" file in the profiles map instead of a "data" file, which i couldn't find on my desktop.
Hope this helps more people out :)
