Do I need to download this, if I already have Ark?
I ask cause it's like, 36 gig which is quite substancial.

ya seriously lol, though I totally am all for walking sims offering a free to play light version like this to get sort of a feel for them

Simple answer. You download SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST if you want to play SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. thats like asking why you would get ark if you have this, they are different games.

I wasn't sure if Ark was adding Survival of the Fittest as a mode, and this was a standalone multiplayer that others could get to play as well.

Similar to how many old games (like half life) used to do their multiplayer.

But thank's for answering like a sarcastic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2 days after the problem was solved.

My suggestion is to copy the ARK game files over to the new ARK: SOTF folder, then verify game cache/install. Will save a lot of downloading.
