Pretty sure? C'mon. You have the proof in the OP. How can't you see it?

1080p

both render at the same resolution. It's pretty evident for everyone with a pair of eyes.
These gameplay screenshots are .png images '¬_¬
Because the game upscales the 720p rendered image into the 1080p final frame and the game upscaler maybe is better than your tv or monitor internal upscaler when game final frame is 720p.
Flipping between the max resolution possible and the lowest resolution possible without having any impact on your framerate has always made me suspiscious that game's not actually changing the resolution :S
idk you could see what gedosato does with this.
Actually I'm more interesed in knowing what G.Rev have to say about this.
With GeDoSaTo, I can get the game running at my native resolution but the actual game graphics are tucked into the upper left corner of the screen. Black bars across the bottom and right.
It's running at around 40 for me, and I'm assuming that's just because my laptop's on the weak side and you can't actually lower the resolution, buuuuut I just want to make sure.
It'd be nice to have that unlocked in a future patch.
